Custodial Rape

A report on the rape of migrant women in a metropolis like Delhi ,it takes into account four cases of rape which were committed in police custody in R K Puram, Chandni Chowk, SeemaPuri ,and Alaknanda.The report raises broader questions related to the meaning and interpretation of terms like ‘custody’ and ‘gang rape ’, and also about the cumulative effects of the retrogressive social attitudes reflected in the convoluted labyrinth of law which tends ignore the human suffering and becomes a mere legal discourse .

Koel Ke Kinare: Agrarian Conflict In Palamau Plains

This report attempts to bring to light the lives and struggles of the people  of Palamu plains and the repression they faced from a landlord army ,the “sunlight sena” in collusion with the local administration .This repression came as a response to the efforts to organize those at the margins of agrarian economy by the Naxalites ,along with others.

Bhagalpur Riots

In the third week of October 1989,roits broke out between Hindus and Muslims ,and continued intermittently till early December, in Bhagalpur, Bihar.In between,elections for Lok Sabha and State Assembly took place .The report brings to fore the sum of relations between criminals ,the police,administration, politicians ,the dominant elite and the economy along with some local people as significant factors and agents in the riots.
